Nature Inspires Art: A unique blend of gallery exploration, art making, and collaboration. Young artists scout the museum exhibitions and grounds discovering how the beauty of nature continues to be a source of inspiration to artists. Kids @ CAMp provides an imaginative and nurturing environment for your young artists to explore the museum. Children are introduced to an assortment of materials, techniques and ideas. All campers work in a variety of mediums, creating their own works of art; creativity and self-expression are encouraged. Session culminates with a Campers’ Art Reception for family and friends. Outsider Art Rebels: Learn more about the motivations and unique techniques of “Outsider Artists” – Self-taught artists not following conventional rules of art. Learning from current CAM exhibition “Minnie, Clyde, Annie, Vollis”, campers create colorful 2-D and sculptural 3-D art using non-traditional materials. Kids @ CAMp provides an imaginative and nurturing environment for your young artists to explore the museum. Children are introduced to an assortment of materials, techniques and ideas. All campers work in a variety of mediums, creating their own works of art; creativity and self-expression are encouraged. Each session culminates with a Campers’ Art Reception for family and friends.
