Hands On Clay Camp

From mud to ceramics - this camp focuses on the basics of hand-building, pinching, coiling and rolling out slabs to create a variety of decorative and functional pieces. Projects may include relief tiles, wind chimes, ocarinas, ugly jugs, games and more. (up to and in Middle School)

Drawing: The Eight Headed Dragon

CAM exhibition "A Time When Art Is Everywhere: teamLab" includes the digital creation "Flower and Corpse Glitch Set of 12". Yamata-no-orochi, The Eight Headed Dragon plays a role in this evolving story featuring the theme of “The clash, cycle, and symbiosis between nature and culture.” Delve into symbolic Japanese folklore and create your own version of beasts and heroes. (Middle and High School students welcome)

Nature Inspires Art: A unique blend of gallery exploration, art making, and collaboration. Young artists scout the museum exhibitions and grounds discovering how the beauty of nature continues to be a source of inspiration to artists. Kids @ Camp provides an imaginative and nurturing environment for your young artists to explore the museum. Children are introduced to an assortment of materials, techniques and ideas. All campers work in a variety of mediums, creating their own works of art; creativity and self-expression are encouraged! session culminates with a Campers’ Art Reception for family and friends.
